Lowongan Kerja - Koordinator IUWASH medan

The Indonesia Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) project is a
sixty-month program (2011 – 2016) funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) and implemented under the leadership of
DAI. IUWASH works with government, the private sector, NGOs, community
groups and other stakeholders to improve access to safe water supply and
sanitation in Indonesia’s urban areas. The overall goal of IUWASH is to
assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in making significant progress in
achieving its safe water and sanitation Millennium Development Goal (MDG)
targets by expanding access to these services.
To achieve the above, assistance provided by the project is divided under
three main technical components, including:
1.    Mobilizing demand for water supply and sanitation service delivery;
2.    Improving and expanding capacity for water and sanitation service
delivery; and
3.    Strengthening policy and the financial enabling environment for
improved water supply and sanitation service delivery.
IUWASH applies different approaches and interventions with its local
partners, such as local government institutions, water utilities, NGOs and
communities for the behavior change communication, capacity building and
governance to address water, sanitation and hygiene. To achieve these
objectives IUWASH regional offices need high caliber incumbent to fill the
one position of  *City Coordinators* who will take a lead role to the
following cities and be based at :
  - Kota Binjai & Kabupaten Langkat            *(CC-NS)*
  - Kota Bekasi & Kota Tangerang Selatan    *(CC-WJ)*

*RESPONSIBILITIES*
The primary objective of the City Coordinator position is to serve as a
member of the IUWASH Regional Team in North Sumatra areas, supporting
implementation of IUWASH field activities and maintaining excellent
relations with all relevant stakeholders (local governments, PDAMs, NGOs,
communities, etc.). The day-to-day work of this position is supervised by
the Regional Coordinator for that region as well as a Technical Specialist
who provide more detailed programmatic guidance.
The City Coordinator contributes to the achievement of IUWASH objectives at
the local level by assisting in the development of city-level workplans,
coordinating city-level activities, ensuring strong communications with the
IUWASH regional office and technical specialists, and generally building
trust between IUWASH and local stakeholders. S/he works side by side IUWASH
partners on a daily basis and represents the front line of the project.

*REPORTING*

This position may require frequent travels other cities within IUWASH
project areas. S/he will report directly to North Sumatra Regional
Coordinator for the day to day activities.

*QUALIFICATION*

  - Minimum D3 majoring in environmental engineering, public health or
  social science with related working experiences from 2 years to 8 years
  and preferably Bachelor degree.
  - Specific working experience on institutional (PDAM)
and/orcommunity-based water supply and sanitation programpreferably
with DAI/USAID and preferably experience
  in community facilitation, training and organizing work
  - Excellent interpersonal skills, with capacity to work independently in
  limited supervision/facility as well as a team player with a range of people
  - Able to do multi-tasking and flexibility to work on evenings and
  weekend on occasion and to travel as and when required within the IUWASH
  project area
  - Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  - Able to work in his/her designated areas
