Search for Common Ground Indonesia, a
non-profit, independent, secular, non-government organisation dedicated to
conflict transformation, is seeking a results focused Design, Monitoring & Evaluator Officer. 
 
Background
Search
for Common Ground Indonesia is a representative office of Search for Common
Ground (SFCG), whose mission is to transform how individuals, organisations and
governments deal with conflict - away from adversarial approaches and toward
cooperative solutions. SFCG’s headquarters are in Washington, DC USA and
Brussels, Belgium.

(with frequent travel to other regions)

TIME
 
Duties and Responsibilities
§  Provide timely and quality support and coaching to the
different program heads to meet their specific DM&E needs; 
§  Be an active member of Design Team, designing new
concepts, proposals and results tables for projects, and country program;
§  Conduct baseline research and follow up evaluations of peace building
projects based on existing indicators;
§  Maintain a database to ensure all project and program
outputs and results are accurately recorded and coordinated to inform program
staffs;  
§  Provide monthly reports on all activities, outputs and
relevant outcome indicators; 
§  Participate in and contribute towards internal evaluation processes;
§  Participate in and contribute towards communications and community
relations output;
§  Work with SFCG regional and HQ DM&E Specialists in
providing support and guidance to the different programs in the development and
implementation of their M&E work plans;
§  Be directly engaged in the continuing
development of the organisation, its mission and its staff, through the sharing
of experience and knowledge; and
§  Do all other tasks as required by supervisor
and/or SFCG Management Team
 
Qualifications Required:
 
§  Minimum 3 years applied experience in research and DM&E in conflict
or development programs.
§  Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in conflict resolution, international
relations, a related social science field or statistics. 
§  Proven quantitative and qualitative research skills (provide baseline/evaluation
reports produced)
§  Strong methodological background, DME systems experience and the
technical capacity to provide support and guidance to project staff on design,
monitoring and evaluation
§  Knowledge of logical and
results frameworks, evaluation design and methodologies, indicator development,
and the ability to coach and train others in their use 
§  High level of leadership skills; the candidate should be a self-starter
and should have initiative;
§  Comfort in working with
those from different caste/ethnic groups and across political lines;
§  Excellent command of English
(written & oral)
§  Excellent writing ability
§  High standards of integrity, professionalism, and impartiality
§  Must enjoy working independently, as well as in a team environment
§  Ability to travel to working districts if necessary
§  Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fluid environment
§  Detail oriented and highly organised
§  Ability to multi task and work under tight deadlines
§  Working knowledge of SPSS, Excel, Access and other database programs, proficient
inMicrosoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, web browsers
 
Desirable
§  2 years’ operational experience in peacebuilding /conflict resolution
§  Participatory design, monitoring and evaluation experience
§  Knowledge of the use of behavior change communications and media
§  Experience of evaluation of behaviour change communications programmes
 
 
Salary: Negotiable upon qualifications and work
experience.
