We are currently seeking to recruit BASICS Finance Officers to help
implement for a CIDA-funded project, Better Approaches to Service Provision
through Increased Capacities in Sulawesi (BASICS).  The project  purpose is
to link planning and budgeting processes in a participatory, pro-poor,
gender equal and environmentally sustainable manner leading to improved
MDGs/MSS-based social services provision in selected districts/cities in
Sulawesi.

Duty station will be in Manado.

Reports to: Provincial Coordinator

* *

The Finance Officer will report to the Provincial Coordinator.  S/he will
be responsible for processing and reporting on all BASICS related expenses
in the respective province.



*Key responsibilities will include:*

·    Preparing monthly expense reports on all BASICS expenditures;

·    Preparing monthly advance requests to support BASICS activities;

·    Monitoring the financial aspects such as bank balances, journals, and
reporting the same to the Provincial Coordinator and/or BRI Coordinator;

·    Preparing cash/bank reconciliations;

·    Provide support to facilitate BASICS audits and other monitoring and
evaluation;

·    Assist in delivering training and orientation to the Provincial
Sub-Committee and to the District Administration & Finance Assistants.



*Key Desired Qualifications*

·    Education related to accounting  and financial management;

·    Experience in preparing daily/monthly accounts for expenditures,
including petty cash daily/monthly journals;

·    Experience in preparing cash/bank and travel advance reconciliations
and

·    monitoring bank balances;

·    Experience with budget control mechanisms;
